Find a Solicitor

If you want legal advice about a potential clinical negligence claim we strongly recommend that you use a specialist medical negligence solicitor accredited by AvMA. We only accredit solicitors who can demonstrate that they have legal expertise and experience in running clinical negligence claims for patients (claimants).

You can find a solicitor near you by location or region, or by their area of special interest using our solicitor search below.

Please note, AvMA cannot guarantee that a solicitor recommended by us will take your case on. There are many reasons why a solicitor may not accept a case: the solicitor may consider the prospects of the case succeeding are too low; the cost of bringing proceedings may outweigh the value of the claim or the solicitor may have too much work on. If your case is turned down by one solicitor, it is worth contacting other solicitors to see if they are prepared to take your case on.

If you have tried our solicitor search and you need more help finding the right lawyer or to discuss your individual needs, please contact our helpline.

If you do not see any search results in the first instance, you may wish to widen your region to 'All of England and Wales' or contact a solicitor with 'National Coverage'.

There is a different legal system in Scotland and Ireland to England & Wales, and AvMA does not accredit specialist medical negligence solicitors in Scotland and Ireland. However, the solicitors listed in both of these countries have demonstrated their commitment in this field by joining AvMA’s lawyers’ resource service and have signed up to AvMA’s code of practice.
